# ⚓ Day 19: the 3D port prompt

Original: https://typhoon-nasturtium-9fb.notion.site/3fdc9300456b8182bb78d808100a31b8

The exact prompt behind the Day 19 port reel. Paste it into Claude and ask for one HTML file.

### The prompt

```
Make a single-file interactive web app (HTML, CSS and JS) that loads Three.js from a CDN: a live 3D container port operations dashboard called "Tidegrid" for a fictional "Port Aurelia", built to feel like a strategy game.
WORLD (the place)
A bright isometric diorama. High-key lavender-white ground, soft shadows, matte clay-like materials, royal-blue cranes, colourful containers, yellow bay lines, small round trees. A pale blue harbour along the front edge, a straight concrete quay with four berths (B1 to B4), a container yard of 9 blocks stacked up to four high and colour-coded by carrier, a gate with truck lanes and booths, a rail terminal with two tracks, a reefer block, a control tower, light poles, and a breakwater with a lighthouse.
LIFE (the simulation)
A simple scheduler runs the port. Container ships arrive from an anchorage, get a free berth, discharge and load, then leave. Quay cranes move boxes from ship to straddle carriers, yard cranes stack them, trucks loop through the gate, a freight train loads at the rail terminal. Every vessel has a status (Inbound, Berthed, Discharging, Loading, Departed), a progress percentage and an ETA. The clock is live and sped up.
INTERACTION (the game feel)
Orbit, pan and zoom with inertia. Hovering anything gives it a soft outline and a small label. Clicking a vessel, crane, container or truck selects it: glow ring, location pin, the camera eases in, the side panel fills. Speed buttons (1x, 4x, 16x). Click a free berth to assign the next inbound ship.
DASHBOARD (the interface)
Floating white glass cards with rounded corners and soft shadows. Top bar with search, terminal selector, a Live clock and alerts. KPI cards: berths in use, crane moves per hour, gate turn time. A panel for the selected vessel. A bottom vessel tracker (Arrived, Berthed, Discharging, Loading, Departed).
EXTRAS (the wow)
Day and night toggle with glowing crane lights and ship lights, water ripples and wakes, seagulls, a ripple ring when a vessel docks, and a one-button cinematic fly-through.
Everything in one HTML file, no build step, no external assets besides the Three.js CDN. Keep it at 60 fps.
```

### Swap one word

Keep the five layers and change the world. Replace "container port" and the nouns in WORLD and LIFE:

- **Airport:** stands, taxiways, gates, baggage carts, aircraft pushing back.
- **Factory:** assembly lines, robot arms, forklifts, a shipping dock.
- **Launch pad:** launch tower, rocket, fuel trucks, a countdown.
